Deir Ibzi

With an atmospheric old town and stunning views, Deir Ibzi is one of the real gems in the countryside surrounding Ramallah. It is slightly larger than neighbouring Ein ‘Arik, which is home to a Christian church and a public swimming pool.

In Deir Ibzi there is a small village centre with enough shops to keep residents from constantly having to travel the 10km east to Ramallah. Although, this is a village where the majority of residents commute into the city for work before returning home to the peace and quiet of semi-rural life.

The beautiful remains of the old town can be found at the top of a hill above the village, where on clear nights the lights of both Ramallah and Jerusalem are visible.
